Souvenir Book victory!

Well if you recall from the April 29th post (found here) I submitted a piece for the Comic Con International Souvenir Book which every attendee receives. If your artwork is used then you are sent a free copy of said souvenir book. I had not received my free copy so figured my artwork had not been chosen. Then, today I received this in the mail...

...and on page 115 I found the piece of artwork I had submitted! Just thought it was pretty cool and wanted to share with y'all...here's how it looks in printed form:

Tale of two cartoonists

Happy Hump day folks!
Today I had the pleasure of meeting local cartoonist Bridgett Spicer. Initially I was just taken aback by the fact there was another one in Salinas but upon further conversation I found out she lives with a couple of folks I grew up with! I would say "small world" but it is, after all, Salinas.
She has a wonderfully unique style and her comic strip "Squid Row" can be found online daily and in the Monterey County herald. Check her out here (or use the link to the left right under Mr. Craig Thompson) and you will be glad that you did!

Better late than never...

Howdy all! Sorry it's been a while since I've updated but for any of y'all that actually follow this blog that's nothing out of the ordinary. Anyway, while I have a few different projects I am currently involved with I am not sharing any art today. I am instead correcting the fact that 2 years ago today the Peas (Mark Peaslee) and I appeared for a signing/meet and greet at the Cartoon Art Museum in San Francisco and I never reported it here!!
